Susan Jackson - Founder and Executive Director

A licensed financial planner, Susan has been assisting individuals with their financial planning needs since the late 80's and is a regular speaker, facilitator of money education programs and magazine article contributor. She is also the author of the following books: The Investment Club Start Up Guide; The Women’s Guide to Property; and most recently, Why Saving is Like Dieting and Budgets Don't Work. Susan can also be heard on radio and is asked for comment by the media on a regular basis.

Her aim is to assist individuals to become informed, confident, participating financial decision-makers and to help them create whatever financial future they aspire to.

Susan has been involved in the recruiting and training of financial advisors and is committed to maintaining the highest standards possible in the financial planning industry.

The Financial Planning Association of Australia (FPA) honoured Susan's efforts in October 2007 when they awarded her the 2007 Financial Planning Association (FPA) of Australia’s Value of Advice Award in the Community Contribution/Pro Bono category.

The award was granted to Susan in recognition of the key role she played in designing and helping to develop and facilitate The Women’s Financial Literacy Project aimed at raising the level of financial literacy of Victoria’s female population.

The FPA Value of Advice Awards recognise FPA members’ professionalism and acknowledge financial planners who demonstrate ‘best practice’ standards of advice in both the financial planning and wider communities. In particular, the Community Contribution category assesses the planner’s contribution to the community’s financial wellbeing through the value contributed by the planner’s involvement and willingness to share financial expertise and experience in a planned and sustained program.

It is also no surprise to find that she has been twice (1999/2003) nominated for the Telstra Businesswomen Awards and earned a Finalist place in the 2003 and 2005 Victorian Telstra Small Business Awards.
